7.     Katýlýmcýlar karikatürlerinin arkasýna yapýþtýracaklarý bir etikete büyük harflerle ad, soy ad ve iletiþim adreslerini yazmalýdýrlar. Katýlýmcýlar eserleriyle birlikte bir fotoðraflarýný ve ekte sunulan katýlým formunu eksiksiz doldurarak göndermelidirler.

8.     Karikatürler en geç 17 Ekim 2008 tarihine kadar yazýþma adresine, zarar görmeyecek þekilde gönderilmeli veya elden teslim edilmelidir. Eserlerin postada zarar görmesinden kongre sekretaryasý sorumlu deðildir.

9.     Eserler hiçbir þekilde iade edilmeyecek, Ýstanbul Eczacý Odasý arþivinde saklanacaktýr.

10.  Sonuçlar 3 Kasým 2008 tarihinde www.turkiyeeczakongre2008.org.tr sitesinde açýklanacaktýr.

11.  Yarýþma karikatürleri bir albümde toplanacak, sergilenmeye deðer görülen ve albüme girecek eserler seçici kurul tarafýndan belirlenecektir. Eserleri sergilenenlerin ve albümde yayýnlananlarýn yazýþma adreslerine albüm gönderilecektir.

12.  Ödüller 13 Kasým 2008 tarihinde 9. Türkiye Eczacýlýk Kongresi ödül daðýtým töreninde verilecektir.

13.  Ödül alan ve sergilenmeye deðer bulunan eserler, 13-16 Kasým 2008 9. Türkiye Eczacýlýk Kongresi süresince, Wow Hotel Ýstanbul’da sergilenecek ve kongre web sayfasýnda yayýnlanacaktýr.

COMPETITION REGULATIONS
theme :THE PASSION FOR TRAVEL..

The title of the competition is STUTTGART AWARD 2009 for
Cartoon and Caricature. The topic is ‘The passion for travel’.
2. The contest is open to professional as well as semi-professional
cartoonists and caricaturists.
3. The deadline for receipt of works of art is 05th November 2008
at the Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH.
4. Each artist may submit up to three cartoons and up to three
caricatures, i.e., an overall number of six works.
5. The minimum size of artwork is to be 210 x 297 mm.
The maximum size is to be 297 x 420 mm. Artwork is to be
submitted unframed and uncounted. Techniques: no limits.
7. Original works, signed copies and digitally created works will be
accepted. Requirements for digital works: minimum 300dpi/DIN
A5; color representation: RGB; format: jpeg or pdf. Delivery by
e-mail: up to 5MB per mail.
8. Text caricatures can be compiled in any language you like.
However, a translation in English or German shall also be
enclosed.
9. The artist’s name, address, e-mail account, and telephone number
must be shown on the back of each work. In case of entries via
e-mail, this information must be included in the mail.
10. A short biography of the artist and a photograph
(or self-caricature) shall be attached.
11. The artwork must be the genuine work of the artist.
12. The prize winner will be determined by an impartial jury while
ensuring anonymity.
13. 1st prize: € 5,000 2nd prize: € 3,000 3rd prize: € 2,000
In addition there will be 10 special prizes.
14. The awarded works will become property of
Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH.
15. Selected works will be exhibited. In addition a competition
catalogue will be published. Every artist who has work in the
exhibition or in the catalogue will receive a free copy of the
catalogue.
16. It is planned to auction off selected works for a good cause,
provided that the participant does not expressly refuse to
auction the submitted works when registering for the
competition.
17. The return of original works is only possible at the author’s
express request at the time of entry in the competition.
18. Participants in the competition permit the organizer to publish
the works submitted by them for non-commercial purposes in
connection with the competition.
19. By entering works to the competition the participant
automatically agrees to the Terms and Conditions of
Participation. It is expressly referred to the fact that the
author thereby also agrees to the exhibition of his/her
works and their reproduction in the Competition Catalogue.
20. Any recourse to legal action shall be excluded.

I – THE THEME
Global warming is currently categorized as one of the greatest threats to life. Within the last decades, this phenomenon has been causing an increase in the average temperature on the surface of the earth, announcing the escalating condition of the greenhouse effect that is destabilizing the energy balance of the planet. The greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide (CO2), methanol (CH4), nitrate oxide (N2O), CFC�s (CFxCl) absorb ultared radiation emitted by the earth’s surface, which then radiates energy that is absorbed by the earth’s surface again, consequently getting hotter, and when in excess, is damaging. Therefore, the excess of gases responsible for the greenhouse effect, initiates a phenomenon known as global warming. The proposal for the Eco Cartoon is a warning for life! The cartoonists will have the challenge of showing the risk that the planet and humanity are running. They are, therefore, invited to create an illustration that depicts global warming and alerts society to the seriousness of the problem.

II – FROM THE 1st International Patio Brazil Humor Saloon On The Environment – ECO Cartoon

It is a competitive exhibition, of cartoon humor, where the main objective is to cause one to reflect on the global warming theme and quality of life. The tools to be used are charges, cartoons, caricatures and comic strips on the theme: Global Warming.

III � THOSE COMPETING

a) Graphic artists in general can compete, be they armatures or professionals, Brazilian or foreigners; b) Each artist can participate entering up to 2 (two) unpublished pieces of work, be it charge, cartoon, caricature or comic strips. c) The standard size of each piece of work would be 30 X 40 cm (horizontal or vertical); d) Each piece of work should be sent in the appropriate packaging, freeing the organizers of the event from the responsibility of any damages caused to the project during shipping; e) No work will be accepted via CD or internet; f) The participants that send more than 2 (two) projects, as well as those who are directly involved in the process of the event will be excluded from participating in this campaign.

IV – THE DESTINATION AND USE OF THE WORKS OF ART

a) All of the enrolled work sent for selection will become the permanent property of the Patio Brazil Shopping Condominium, which will exercise, exclusively and without restraint, the right of property, in order to use it to its best interests, which will not bring, by any means, any liability of any nature to the authors; b) After selection, the work that is selected will be on exposition inside the Patio Brazil Shopping and promoted on the www.patiobrasil.com.br
site and could, along with all the others participating works, still have other final destinations; c) The organization will not take the responsibility for any damages caused by third parties when on exposition to the public or due to deterioration from handling of the work during the event.

V – ENROLLMENT

a) Forms for enrollment will be available at the site: www.patiobrasil.com.br
 b) All work should be sent by September 15 along with the filled our enrollment form, via the mail or direct delivery at the Patio Brazil Shopping administration from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at the address: SCS Qd. 07 Bl. Administracao � CEP: 70307-902,Brazil
with a highlighted marking of the name of the event on the outside of the package or envelope saying: ECO CARTOON; c) The enrollment is free of charge and will be in effect on act of delivery of the work(s) and the participant should fill out the respective enrollment forms correctly with true updated information; d) The enrollment holds bearing on the acceptance of this regulation, in all its terms, as well as in accepting the final results of the contest and the destination and use of the work.

VI – DEADLINES

a) The works will be accepted up to September 15th, 2008.

b) The works of art will be selected on September 17, 2008 and judgment given on September 18, 2008;

c) The exposition will take place from September 19th to the 28th, 2008.

VII – JUDGMENT, SELECTION AND AWARDS

a) In selecting and awarding the works of art, certain criteria, based on creativity, originality and how pertinent it is to the proposed theme, will be followed while judging, which will be the responsibility of the commission of judges, whose decisions should be accepted by the participants without possibility of impugn; b) The selecting commission will choose up to 100 pieces, from all the works of art received, for exposition at the Patio Brazil Shopping. c) From the 100 (one hundred) selected works of art, 4 (four) will be awarded, 3 (three) of them being chosen by the commission of judges and 01 (one) work of art (aside from the 3 winners) will be chosen by popular vote which will occur via coupons placed in an urn located there at the competitive exposition. d) Any eventual issues omitted from the present regulation will be resolved by the commission of judges before a Patio Brazil Shopping referendum at the most opportune time. e) 3 (three) works of art will be awarded by the commission of judges, of which their decisions will be unappeasable.

The international caricature contest named in honour of Rudiy Panko
(a beekeeper from a farm near Dikanka) 

Each gentle author will react : “What’s that? The contest named in honour of a beekeeper? They threw a contest into the world for the sake of a beekeeper! For goodness’ sake! They haven’t plucked enough geese and they haven’t wasted enough rags for paper yet! A few people of different ranks made their fingers inky!”

We are not going to argue with such a gentle author. We will only notice:

– in 2009 it will be 200 years since the birthday of N.V.Gogol, who made Rudiy Panko famous,

– besides, since the times of Rudiy Panko we do not have such a brilliant narrator, who can describe all wonders and fears,

– even N.V.Gogol himself wouldn’t turn down a proposal to paint some caricatures of modern people and “the highest servility”, if you don’t mind us saying so,

– we ask you not to confuse our beekeeper with another famous beekeeper (ours is from Dikanka, and that man is from the other place).

So we have such an egg-flip (gogol-mogol), ladies and gentlemen!

The theme of the contest is “Gogol-mogol (egg-flip) 2009”

N.V.Gogol himself will help you to know which stories, wonders and fears you should paint:

“The soil is great! And the harvest was always wonderful; but in the bewitched place there was never anything good. They sow the seeds correctly, but something incomprehensible grew: maybe a watermelon or maybe not, maybe a pumpkin or maybe not, may be a cucumber or maybe not…the devil only knows!

For the gentle authors we will explain – you should paint our modern life, but don’t forget N.V.Gogol – his characters stay alive even nowadays!     

Terms of the caricature contest named in honour of Rudiy Panko

1. Art works are welcomed till 1^st August 2009 (included). We will place the works on the web-site in the section “Caricature” with a note “Contest work”.

3. We will send 50 originals which score the most runs till 20th September 2009.

  As First Retrofitting cartoon festival is going to be held in Tabriz on October 2008 and we will be honored if you accept

our invitation and send your cartoon to us.

Retrofitting International Cartoon Competition is held in Tabriz by Retrofitting National Organization and Housing

 Foundation Of Islamic Revolution . The competition is open to professional and amateur cartoonists from

 all over the world. Earthquake, an alarming phenomenon, fillips our planet from time to time. Once it shakes

 buildings which are our shelters it could be either the moment of destruction and debris or the feeling of

 certainty upon safety. Meanwhile, the fate of our rural houses which are more vulnerable than their

 kinds in cities, worry us about the future and encourage us to elevate the culture of construction to a

 safe and technical level. We are eager to go beyond the cartoon conventional use. For this reason, while

 considering the potentials of this art, we will present illustrated concepts for constructing safe and reliable buildings.

Briefly, we desire to compose the satire of cartoons and the precision of constructing principles.

Iran National Retrofitting Organization and Housing Foundation, in the year of innovation and dehiscence and in respect

of developing the construction culture, set up the first International Cartoon Festival on Retrofitting

(non-engineering construction and earthquake effects).

    Artists and engineers ought to collaborate on challenges of today’s positive and negative realities that affect our buildings.

General Information

Innovation and Flourishing in construction industry (non-engineering construction and earthquake effects)

Suggested Concepts:

– Retrofitting buildings’ structures and it’s behind scenes.
– Retrofitting and reconstruction of rural houses.
– Preventing non-engineering constructions.
– New construction Technologies.

1. Size of the cartoons should not exceed 42 x 29.7cm (A3) and the minimum size is 30 x 20cm.

2. The cartoons must be the original copy. If they are in digital format, then the artist have to include his signature

in the files and prints as well. The photograph and photocopy of the document would not be accepted.

3. The organization will not be responsible for damage that may occur during postage and handling.

4. Digital cartoons must be printed in its actual size. The artist should send the files with Tiff, Jpeg format. Other

 formats would not be accepted. The files should have at least 300 depths per inch (dpi). Artist’s signature is required.

5. This competition is open to professional and amateur caricaturists and also engineers with artistic talents from

all over the world.

6. Participants are expected to send the filled participation form, a concise resume with photograph.

7. Received cartoons will not be returned back to the artists.

8. By filling and signing the entry form, the participant declares and accepts in advance that heshe has turned over

the financial rights heshe holds over the cartoon or cartoons vis-à-vis the public to the

Iran National Retrofitting Center (INRC) without limitations on location, time period and number including

assignment to third parties under articles 21-25 of the law on intellectual property rights for publication. Heshe

agrees that the Iran National Retrofitting Center may use such cartoons,

exhibit them, keep them in its archives and publish them on the internet or through other media.

      9. 1st International Cartoon Festival on Retrofitting will be celebrated with an award ceremony in October 2008 in Tabriz.

10. Deadline for entries is Wednesday October 1st, 2008.

Theme of competition « Gogol-моголь 2009 »

About what histories, wonders and fears to draw Nikolay Vasilevich Gogol will help(assist) to understand:

1. The statue will be executed from clay and from a tree, height-20см., a portrait (technics(technical equipment) of execution(performance) free) in full рост–en face, a fullface , 3/4, from a back.
2. All details should be well traced for creation of sculptures and reflect an essence of idea – Ore Панько the best story-teller, moreover and a symbol of competition of a caricature of its(his) name!
