REGULATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION SATYRYKON-LEGNICA 2008
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

1. The SATYRYKON 2008 International Exhibition is an open competition.
2. The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals, completed within the recent two years (2007-2008), and qualified by artists to:
HUMOR and SOCIAL SATIRE (drawing without captions preferred)

D O G I feel, I love, I Wait and bark (drawing without captions preferred)

3. WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONSwill be excluded from the competition.
4. The format of the works – maximum A3 (297 x 420 mm).
5. Works should be sent or delivered by February 1, 2008, packed in a protective cover to:

the first International Cartoonet (by email) Exhibition :Supporting Street Children
The Iranian House of Cartoon invites cartoonists  from all over the World to participate in this Exhibition.

Regulation:
1-The contest is open to all cartoonists.
2- Theme: 1-Street Children
                  2-Child Laborers
3) THE PRIZES:
 Honorable Mention (50)
4) A maximum of 5 works in each section can be submitted by the participating cartoonists.

5) The dimensions of works should be 1200Pixel

6) Comic strip must be presented in one page and without any words.

7) Only Digital cartoons are accepted works achieved by digital tools will be accepted as originals as long as they are hand signed by the author, accompanied by the digital file of the artwork in Tiff format with 300 Dpi resolution on a CD. No photocopies or photographs will be accepted.

9) Name, surname, address and short bio  of the participants should be send email

10) The choice of technique is free, color or B&W and etc.

11) The deadline :09, Jan. 2008

12) The organizers hold all the rights to publish the cartoons submitted to the contest and use them in any from.

13) All participants are considered to accept all the conditions.

Culture

Entries:
1- Each cartoonist can submit a max of (6) original works (black & white or colored). Works made by computer will be accepted.

2- Size: strictly A4 (21X 29.7)

3- Deadline: 20/2/2007

4- On the back of each work the following information should appear:
First name – surname – address – tel & fax – e-mail – theme section& title.

5-The works will be displayed at Syria Cartoon website:

or may be used for promotional purposes; cards, posters, newspapers, catalogs, books, websites, etc. Participants are considered to have accepted all the conditions and are aware that their submitted works may be reprinted and used without permission.
6- All entry works must not be submitted as neither folded nor rolling form.
7 – The works will not be returned.

8 – All the cartoonists whose works will be selected for the exhibition will receive a catalogue& certificate.

9 – The jury will not reward the cartoons submitted to other festivals. The prize winners will be informed by mail. And the results will be declared On (March 2008)

WINTERBERGER.. WINTERSPOTT 2007

“Alles im grünen Bereich“ – “Climate change and winter sports“ are the subjects of the first  European Cartoon-Contest  “Winterberger Winterspott 2007/08“. All representatives of the funny and critical art can let their imagination run wild.

 

In the course of the cartoon contest a committee of experts will select the best motives of the submitted works and assign awards totalling to app. 10 000 Euros.

This cartoon contest will take place in the German town Winterberg (Sauerland) – known for its winter sports and trekking tours.

 INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL CARTOON COMPETITION 2008

  1.The competition is open to cartoonists from all nations.
  2. A first prize of £500, a second prize of £300 and a third prize of £200 will be awarded for the best cartoons, this year on the theme of climate change and other threats to the environment, under the title Earthworks 2008.
  3. The jury, made up of leading cartoonists and well-known personalities, will be looking for clarity of message, cartooning skill and satirical humour. (Jury memebrs to be announced towards the end of 2007)
  4. To qualify, cartoons can be submitted in electronic format (good resolution) or, preferably, as original works. Cartoons short listed for a prize and subsequent exhibition will be notified by the organisers, and their authors will receive honorary diplomas.
  5. Cartoons with text and/or captions not in English should (if possible) be accompanied by a translation. It would also be useful to have some idea of the situation being addressed by the cartoon if it refers to a specific social or political event/situation which may not be universally understood.
  6. Each entry must be signed by the artist and accompanied by an address and contact details.
  7. Entries to reach the organisers by June 1st 2008.
  8. The results of the competition will be announced on July 1st 2008.
  9. An exhibition of the best of the submissions will be organised in London and the prize-winning cartoons will be published in the Morning Star newspaper and other journals.
  10. Unless the submitting cartoonist stipulates otherwise, following the judging, the cartoons will become the copyright of the Ken Sprague Fund and the Fund will have the right to offer submitted cartoons for sale/exhibition and publication. Any proceeds from these, less a small commission and transfer fees, will be paid to the originating artist.
  11. The organisers undertake to give due credit to the artists and ensure they receive any royalties/payments that may accrue as a result of the competition.
  12. The first ten cartoons will be displayed on our website for a period of 12 months and later will become part of the page’s competition archive, accessible to visitors.
  13. Artists submitting cartoons will automatically agree to abide by the above rules.

FOCUS ON CHINA

Editorial Cartoon  International Meeting in Carquefou 2008

 

Everybody knows the Editorial Cartoon  International Meeting in Carquefou, championship of promoting humor and editorial cartoon.

                          The central theme 2008 is China

 

The  communication head of Carquefou asks FECO for launching a call to chinese cartoonists and to other cartoonists  all over the world to participate in the Salon 2008 in good (or bad) mood.

 

Then, you are requested for sending your humor and editorial cartoons (copies or digital artworks, no originals) on the theme China :

Theme:  A) Braila- a multi-ethnic province (in Braila’s region cohabit beside Romanians the following ethnic communities: Bulgarians, Greeks, Italians, Jews, Lipovenians, Roms, Tatars and Turks)

The works in original must be accompanied by the author’s biography.

CineCartoon International Cartoon Competition is organised in Turkey by International Izmir Short Film Festival and 35 Izmir Film Festival. It is planned to keep this competition annually as a tradition within the festival. Competition is open to all professional and amateur cartoon artists from all countries.
The exhibit to be held this year has a theme on “cinema and woman”.

General Info
1.Original works should be sent to the competition. If the cartoons are sent as a computer output, it should have original signature (wet signature) on it. Photographs, photocopies…etc. won’t be accepted.
2.The size of the cartoons to be sent can not exceed A3 paper (29,7 x 42cm).
3.CinCartoon organisation is not responsible of any damages or losses during transport or on mail.
4.Exhibition is open to professional and amateur artists.
5.To apply, the online entry form should be filled in. A short biography and a photograph of the artist should be sent along with the original work. Otherwise the application won’t be accepted.
6.Cartoons should be sent to the festival as scanned at least 300 dpi, jpg format. The maximum file size is 10MB. The address to be sent is info@cinecartoon.net.
7.Selection Jury; Cem Koç (Cartoon Artists Association Izmir Correspondant) , Kayhan Kirmizgul (IISFF President), Mehmet Aslan, Murteza Albayrak, Eray Özbek. Selection Jury will gather on November 2007.
8.The works accepted to the exhibition won’t be sent back.
9. The applicant accepts that he gives the permission to use his works for news and promotion purposes by filling in the online application form. 
10.The works that are not accepted for the exhibit can be sent back by the written demand of the artist.
11.All cartoons used for the exhibit will be gathered in an album. This album will be sent to all artist whose works are usedl.
12.Exhibition will go on during the festival. The three works selected by the festival & exhibiton viewers will be awarded. Also they will be rewarded by sponsor companiest.
13.CineCartoon International Cartoon Exhibition Award Ceremony will be held in Izmir on November 2007.
14.Deadline for entries is 20 October 2007.

CineCartoon Uluslararasý Karikatür Yarýþmasý Türkiye’de Uluslararasý Ýzmir Kýsa Film Festivali, 35 Ýzmir Film Festivali ve Karikatürcüler Derneði Ýzmir Temsilciliði tarafýndan düzenlenmektedir. Serginin,bundan sonraki yýllarda da festival bünyesinde kalýcý hale gelmesi düþünülmektedir. Sergi, tüm ülkelerin profesyonel ve amatör karikatüristlerine açýktýr.
Bu yýl yapýlacak olan serginin konusu “Sinema ve Kadýn” olarak belirlenmiþtir.

Genel Bilgi
1.Sergiye orijinal karikatürle katýlýnabiliceði gibi internet üzerindende baþvuru yapýlabilinir.
2.Gönderilen karikatürler en fazla A3 (29,7 x 42cm) ebadýnda olacaktýr.
3.Eserin postada zarar görmesinden CineCartoon organizasyonu sorumlu deðildir.
4.Sergi profesyonel ve amatör karikatüristlere açýktýr.
5.Sergiye katýlanlar, internet üzerinden katýlým formunu doldurarak, kýsa özgeçmiþlerini ve bir fotoðraflarýný eserleriyle birlikte göndereceklerdir. Aksi takdirde yarýþmaya kabul edilmeyeceklerdir.
6.Karikatürler en az 300 dpi, jpg formatýnda taranmýþ ve her biri en çok 10 MB büyüklüðünde olarak info@cinecartoon.net adresine gönderilebilinir.
7.Seçiciler Kurulu; Cem Koç (Karikatürcüler Derneði Ýzmir Temsilcisi) , Kayhan Kýrmýzýgül (UÝKFF Baþkaný), Mehmet Aslan, Murteza Albayrak, Eray Özbek’ten oluþmaktadýr . Seçiciler Kurulu, Kasým 2007’de toplanacaktýr.
8.Sergiye kabul edilen karikatürler, iade edilmeyecektir.
9. Katýlýmcý, internet sitesindeki katýlým formunu doldurmakla sergiye katýlacaðý eserler  haber ve bilgilendirme amaçlý kullanýlabilecektir.
10.Sergilenmeyen karikatürler, sahipleri yazýlý olarak isterse, iade edilecektir.
11.Sergide yer alan karikatürler, bir albümde toplanacaktýr. Oluþturulan albüm, çalýþmalarýna sergide yer verilen çizerlere gönderilecektir.
12.Sergi, festival süresince izlenecek, festival izleyicileri tarafýndan en beðenilen karikatürler olarak belirlenecek 3 çalýþmanýn çizerine  plaket verilecektir. Ayrýca, sponsor kuruluþlar tarafýndan verilecek hediyelerle ödüllendirileceklerdir.
13.CineCartoon Uluslararasý Karikatür Sergisi ödül töreni Kasým 2007’de Ýzmir’de yapýlacaktýr.
14.Sergiye son katýlma tarihi 20 Ekim 2007 günüdür.
