Second international cartoon contest and exhibition, Norway
The Norwegian Cartoonist Gallery and tOOns MaG /Arifur Rahman invite you to participate in the international exhibition and contest “Freedom of Expression” 2017.

Requirements for participating: 
1. The cartoon have to be new, never published before.
2. The cartoon can be produced traditionally or digitally.
3. Participants may send maximum five works. In case of including text, it must be in English.
4. Cartoons with your C.V. , address (in doc. format) and a personal photo have to be sent to the following email address: freedom@toonsmag.com
5. Deadline: 20th of March 2017
6. Size: A3, JPG format with 300 DPI.

Awards and prizes:
1st prize: NOK 3 000.
2nd prize: NOK 2 000.
3rd prize: NOK 1 000.
Nine cartoonists will receive Honorable Mention Award.

Jury and exhibition:
An international jury of eight members will make a selection of the submitted cartoons which are to be exhibited and published in www.toonsmag.com. The jury members will be considered as participants in the exhibition and represent their own countries.
Selected cartoons will be exhibited in Norway, Slovakia and in India so far and can be exhibited in some other countries. Cartoons can only be used for promotion purposes (Printing, Exhibition, Websites, Newspapers, Posters and Invitation cards).
We will publish the results of the contest on 15th of April 2017.

4) Each participant can present in the event a maximum of 1 work subject but can only be awarded in a category and can participate with cartoons in black and white or color.
5) On the JURY:
Comprised of caricaturists and cartoonists renowned professional Argentina, Brazil and Colombia (Coming soon reveal their names).
They may participate with works but only by way of participation and not for awards (equal to the winners of the 2015 version Case) Winners 2014 have no problem participating and hope to award where appropriate. As they can not be considered for award works relatives or people who have work commitments currently. 
6) The cartoons will have a maximum size of 30 x 40 cms. JPG, 300 dpi. 
7) You can participate with cartoons that have already been published or rewarded previously. The selected works will be online so that if given case someone has a complaint about the originality of the work, the jury and Cartoon News Colombia, select a new job.
8) All drawings submitted must be made from original ideas, either analog (scanned) or digital, no photographs, scanned photocopies, photomontages, etc. will be accepted
9) Participants must send a brief CV in Word, contact details (name, e-mail, web or blog and country of origin of the participant) and a photograph or caricature with his works. 
10) Each author owns rights on their work and only authorizes NEWS CARTOON COLOMBIA to expose in this tribute online, without any financial compensation for the parties. Any problems with copyright will be assumed by the participant
11) NEWS CARTOON COLOMBIA reserves the right to display works that understands they can attempt against individual or collective rights.

6th GIN Graphic Humor Contest

The Gin Foundation and the Quevedo Institute of Humor of the FGUA convene the 6th GIN Graphic Humor Contest.
Deadline: December 18, 2016.
PARTICIPATION
You can participate in the competition whoever wants it, both individually and jointly between screenwriter and draftsman.
HUMOR AND THEMATIC
The works presented must have a humorous intention. The theme is free.
FORMAT AND EXTENSION
The presentation will be in paper or digital. The work has to be publishable in paper: vignette, strip, comic page …
Maximum measurement: A4.
For digital format, it should be sent in JPG to 300 dpi.
LANGUAGE
Works are accepted in any of the official languages of Spain. Those that come from outside Spain and contain text, should be labeled in Spanish.
Nº OF WORKS AND ORIGINALITY
Each participant can submit a maximum of four proposals. All works submitted must be unpublished.
SHIPPING
The deadline for delivery of works is December 18, 2016.
Original, reproductions and digital works are accepted.
The works that will not be returned, will be part of the fund of the Graphic Humor Documentation Center of the Quevedo Institute of Humor of the FGUA.
In the case of originals, the author who wishes may request a certificate of donation.

JURY
The jury of the Graphic Humor Contest GIN will be chosen by the Quevedo Institute of Humor of the FGUA and by Humoristán. The jury reserves the right to declare any of the prizes void or to propose another nominative distribution. The decision of the jury will be made within 2 months after the deadline for submitting the papers. The verdict will be communicated to the winners and published on the websites iqh.es and humoristan.org.
Participation in this contest implies the acceptance of these bases. The organization reserves the right, if necessary, to introduce such modifications as it deems necessary for a better functioning of the contest. The organization is not responsible for the works submitted to the competition.

* Yarýþma amatör ve profesyonel tüm karikatür sanatçýlarýna açýktýr.
* Her sanatçý en fazla üç eserle katýlabilir.
* Yarýþmaya gönderilen eserler orijinal çizim, dijital baský ya da bilgisayar çýktýsýyla hazýrlanmýþ olabilir. Çizim tekniði serbesttir. Renkli veya siyah beyaz olabilir. Ancak, eserlerin üzerinde sanatçýlarýn imzalarýnýn yer almasý gerekmektedir.

Deðerlendirme Bilgileri:
1. Yarýþmaya gönderilen eserler iki aþamalý olarak deðerlendirilecektir.
2. Birinci aþamada, yarýþmaya gönderilen bütün eserler Ön Deðerlendirme Seçici Kurul Üyeleri’nin katýlýmýyla yapýlacak toplantýda deðerlendirilecektir. Bu toplantý sonucunda finale kalacak eserler belirlenecektir. Bu deðerlendirmede yarýþmaya gönderilen eserlerin en fazla 1/5’i finale býrakýlacaktýr.
3. Ýkinci aþama deðerlendirmeye geçilmeden önce finale kalan eserler 01-10 Þubat 2017 tarihleri arasýnda internet ortamýnda ilan edilerek içlerinde benzer, çalýntý, intihal, önceden ödül alanlar ve diðer itirazlar, Ön Deðerlendirme Seçici Kurul Üyeleri tarafýndan karara baðlanacak ve yerinde görülen itirazlar doðrultusunda ilgili karikatürler deðerlendirme dýþýna alýnacaktýr.
4. Ýkinci aþamada finale kalan eserler Final Deðerlendirme Seçici Kurul Üyeleri tarafýndan deðerlendirilecektir. Deðerlendirme iki alt aþamada yapýlacaktýr. Ýlk aþama deðerlendirmede finale kalan eserlerin sayýsý 45-50 sayýsýna indirilecek, son basamakta ise dereceye giren eserler belirlenecektir.
5. Yarýþmaya gönderilen eserlerin deðerlendirmesi aþaðýda belirtilen üç konu temel alýnarak yapýlacaktýr.

Yarýþmada iki ayrý kategoride eserler kabul edilecektir.
* Yetiþkinler Kategorisi: 17 ve üzerindeki yaþlardan karikatürcülerin katýlýmýna açýktýr. Bu kategoride "Birincilik Ödülü, "Ýkincilik Ödülü", "Üçüncülük Ödülü", "Prof. Atila Özer Özel Ödülü" ve üç adet "Mansiyon Ödülü" verilecektir. Bu kategoride finale kalan bütün karikatürlere kitapta yer verilecektir.
* Genç Karikatürcüler Kategorisi: Bu kategoriye 16 ve daha küçük yaþlardan karikatürcüler eser gönderebilirler. Eserlerin “Genç Karikatürcüler Kategorisi“ne gönderildiði belirtilmelidir. Bu kategoriye gönderilen eserlerden birine “Birincilik Ödülü” ve iki esere de “Baþarý Ödülü" verilecektir. “Genç Karikatürcüler kategorisinde finale kalacak bütün eserlere kitapta yer verilecektir.

56. Uluslararasý Knokke-Heist Altýn Þapka Karikatür Festivali 2017, Belçika
Yarýþmacýlar 18 yaþýn üzerinde olmalýdýr.
Taným: Karikatür, mizahi bir resimdir. Ünlü bir kiþinin portresi olabileceði gibi, gerçek bir durumun parodisi ya da salt komik bir durumun tasviri dahi olabilir. Tek bir sahneden, tek bir imgeden oluþabileceði gibi birkaç aþamalý bir bant karikatür halinde de çizilebilir. Canlandýrma (animasyon) çalýþmalar kabul edilmeyecektir.
Konu: Serbest.
Sayý: En çok 5 eser. Siyah-beyaz veya renkli. Eserler dijital tekniklerle üretilmiþ de olabilir. Karikatürler yazýsýz, hiç ödül almamýþ ve Belçika’da sergilenmemiþ olmalý, katlanmadan yollanmalýdýr. Camlý, çerçeveli, paspartulu eserler yarýþmaya kabul edilmez.
Telif hakký: Katýlýmcýlar, eserlerinin etkinliði tanýtým amaçlý (albüm, poster, takvim, vb) kullanýmýna izin vermiþ sayýlýr.
Dijital olarak katýlan eserlerden alýnan çýktýlar, düzenleyen kuruluþun mülkiyetine geçer.
Orijinal eserler posta masrafý karþýlanma koþuluyla yazýlý olarak istenirse geri gönderilebilir.
Özgünlük ve Sorumluluk: Eserlerin orijinal fikir sorumluluðu çizerine aittir. Olasý kopya ve çalýntý iddialarýnýn muhatabý çizerin kendisidir.

a. Orijinal çizgi karikatür: Yarýþma sitesindeki katýlým formu mutlaka doldurulup eser(ler)le birlikte yollanmalýdýr.
Boyut: En az 21 x 30 (A4), en fazla 30 x 42 cm (A3). (Kenarlarda sergi paspartusuna uygunluk için 2 cm. boþluk býrakýlabilir.) Her eserin arka yüzünde sanatçý soyadý (NAAM), adý (FOORNAAM) ve adresi (ADDRESS) bulunmalý.
b. Dijital karikatür gönderimi: Dijital katýlým için, yarýþma sitesindeki katýlým formu mutlaka doldurulup eser dosyalarý eklenmelidir. Dosya adýnda sýrasýyla sanatçý soyadý, sanatçý adý ve eser adý (name, first name, title) belirtilmiþ olmalýdýr. Dosyalar en fazla A4 (21×30 cm) ölçüde, JPEG veya TIFF format ve 300 dpi çözünürlükte yollanmalý (Kenarlarda sergi paspartusuna uygunluk için 2 cm. boþluk býrakýlabilir).
Seçilen eserler sergi için paspartu edilecektir.
Ödüller: 5000; 2000; 1000 Avro (Ayný miktar nakit ödüller ulusal kategoride de verilecektir: Press Cartoon Belgium). Ödül töreni için uçakla ulaþým + (bir gece/iki kiþilik) konaklama; sergiyi izleyenlerin oylarýyla belirlenen (ancak ertesi yýl takdim edilen) Halk Ödülü 500 Avro. Nakit ödüllerden yasal kesinti yapýlýr.
Albüm: Seçilenlere albüm yollanýyor.
