Universal Tolerance Organization with the vision of global peace, democracy, peaceful coexistence, respect of human rights and sustainable development through tolerance, organizes this festival to support the freedom of expression and respect to human rights.

UTO ask you to send one or two of your art for the festival because of the attack in Paris. In January 7, 2015, at approximately 11:30CET(10:30UTC), two masked gunmen armed withKalashnikov rifles, ashotgun, and a rocket-propelled grenade launcherstormed the headquarters of the Frenchsatirical newspaperCharlie Hebdoin Paris. They shot and killed 12 people, includingCharlie Hebdostaff and twoFrench National police officers, and wounded 11 others

This festival will hold I am Charlie Cartoon Festival out of respect for human rights and support for journalists and cartoonist around the world.

Terms and conditions:

The competition is open to everybody around the world.

The art work must be original and not published or exhibited previously.

The work should be designed and colored digitally.

The artist should sign the original digital artwork, and number the printed version with pencil before mailing it to our postal address.

The artwork should be filed as JPG with a resolution of 300 dpi.

Name, personal details and contact information (phone, email, country of origin, mailing address) of the artist should be written behind the artwork.

Artists should enclose a personal photo and a short biography of themselves.

The artwork should demonstrate of the subjects mentioned above.

International juries will select the artwork for competition.

A collection of artworks will be published to present an artistic view of the principles of tolerance.

Universal Tolerance Organization will have the right to publish the artworks in books, and websites of U.T.O etc.

First prize: 600 Euros.

Second prize: 400 Euros.

Third prize: 300 Euros.

The organizer of the 20th International cartoon

exhibition ZAGREB 2015 is the Croatian

Cartoonist Association. The festival is opened

for everyone regardless of nationality, age, sex,

or profession.

Conditions of entry:

1. Original works and digital artworks will be

accepted. Digital

artwork is to be numbered in pencil on the

front and pencil

signed. Copies cannot be admitted.

2. Entries can be either black and white or

coloured.

3. There should be the name, the surname and

the adress on the

reverse side of cartoons.

4. The cartoons must not have been previously

awarded on

festivals.

5. Maximum 3 entries will be submitted.

6. Size of entries is A4 or A3 format.

Authors of works that qualify to the exhibition

end of the exhibition cycle (in the second half of

the year 2016).

The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the

works sent to the festival, Zagreb 2015, as the

advertising material without being obliged to

pay a fee to an author whose work may be used.

The prize-winning works become property of

the organizer.

Any kind of graphical technique will be accepted, including 3-D works.

Digital artwork is preferably printed by the artist, in order to present a

suffi cient high quality work to the jury. They may not have been exhibited

or published before.

Our website www.ecc-kruishoutem.be will inform you if your works have

arrived. The list of participants will be updated every day.

4. The drawings shall have the following dimensions: 210 x 297 mm (A4) –

(8.268 x 11.693 inches). The drawing must bear, on the reverse side,

the surname and forename of the participant, for 3-D entries at the bot-
tom of the work. The drawings shall not bear subtitles.

5. By participating, the artists authorize the organizers to publish the submit-
ted works in the catalogue and for the promotion of the exhibition.

6. The following prizes are awarded:

7. On request the participants get a free catalogue. However, the postage

costs are for their own account (for participants who do not reside in

Belgium using 6 coupons international reply). These coupons are avail-
able in your local post offi ce). They can also collect the catalogue at the

European Cartoon Center.

8. By participating the artist lends the submitted works to the organizers for

itinerant exhibitions .

Consequently, the selected works will remain at the disposal of the

organizers until December 2015!

The awarded works will become property of the organization.

9. The entries will only be sent back by the organizers on written request.

3-D works can be collected at the ECC in the course of 2016. They can be

sent back on written request, the postage costs being in this case on the

account of the artist. The organization can in no way be held responsible

for eventually damaged or lost works.

10. If after announcement of the prizes, it appears that plagiarism has been

committed, the jury can after deliberation withdraw the prize.

11. The international jury consisting of cartoon professionals will meet in

Kruishoutem on 27th January 2015.

12. The inauguration and awards ceremony will take place on 28th March

2015. The exhibition will run 29th March till 20th June 2015.

1.) The Contest is open to natural persons who are 18 years of age or older and have legal capacity. This is a single-run contest. Regulation:

1. The Competition is open to all artist — Caricaturist, Illustrator, Cartoonist, Printmaker and Painter around world regardless of nationality, age, sex, etc.

Competition terms :

Each author can send maximum 5 original works.
The competition is open to everybody and is not restricted in terms of artistic design methods.
The format of works should not exceed the A4 dimension.
The competition is non-anonymous.
The works can be sent either online, by filling the electronic application form, or via regular mail, with each work signed on the reverse with the author´s name and their address.
The rewarded works will become the property of the organiser.
