Koþullar

a) Yarýþma bütün dünya karikatürcülerine açýktýr.
b) Yarýþmaya gönderilecek karikatürlerin yayýnlanmýþ ya da yayýnlanmamýþ olmalarý aranmayacaktýr. Ancak daha önce baþka bir yarýþmada ödül almamýþ olmalýdýr.
c) Yarýþma konusu serbesttir.
d) Yarýþmaya bir karikatür ile katýlýnabilir.
e) Gönderilecek karikatürlerin boyutlarý 30 x 40 cm’den büyük olmamalýdýr. Karikatürler mutlaka orijinal olmalýdýr.
f) Katýlanlar eserlerinin arkasýna büyük harflerle adýný, soyadýný, adresini, telefon numarasýný, ülkesini yazmalýdýr. Sanatçýlar kýsa özgeçmiþlerini karikatürlerine eklemelidir.
g) Karikatürler en geç 31 Temmuz 2008 tarihine   kadar verilen adrese ulaþmýþ olmalýdýr.
h) Sonuçlar 11 Aðustos 2008 günü açýklanacaktýr.
ý) Yarýþmaya katýlan tüm karikatürler Karikatürcüler  Derneði tarafýndan Ýstanbul Karikatür ve Mizah Müzesi’nde saklanacaktýr.
i) Yarýþma karikatürleri bir albümde toplanacak,albüme girecek eserler ve sergilenmeye deðer görülenler jüri tarafýndan seçilecektir. Eserleri sergilenenlere ve albümde yayýnlananlara yarýþma albümü gönderilecektir.
j) Yarýþma karikatürleri ödül töreni sonrasýnda Ýstanbul’da, daha sonra Ankara, Ýzmir, Adana, Antalya, Trabzon gibi Türkiye’nin büyük kentlerinde sergilenecektir.
k) Yarýþmaya katýlanlar bütün koþullarý kabul etmiþ sayýlýrlar.

28. INTERNATIONAL NASREDDIN HODJA CARTOON CONTEST

Nasreddin Hodja, the master of Turkish humourists, lived in Aksehir between 1208-1285. He is partly medresse-educated (Muslim theological school), partly self-trained. Historical information on his life and personality is highly limited, but from what has travelled by word-of-mouth from generation to generation, we understand him to have been a significant folk philosopher, with a view on life as intensely amusing as it is stimulating and giving food for thought. He is so much at one with the people that perhaps it is truer to say he lived his works rather than created them. With a strong social personality, Nasreddin Hodja constitutes the nucleus of Turkish folk humour, with stories emanating from his personality being woven by the people around his character century after century, so that the humour of Hodja has reached our day as vigorous and as close to people’s heart as ever.

The Association of Cartoonists maintains that in the struggle for a more tolerant and peaceful world, humour, in other words “the laughing thought” and its universal language, caricature is the most effective weapon against the thought that does not laugh. Bearing this aim in mind, the Association of Cartoonists is organizing each year the International Nasreddin Hodja Cartoon Contest to the living memory of Nasreddin Hodja, Turkish master of popular humour.
28th INTERNATIONAL NASREDDIN HODJA CARTOON CONTEST
“ One Cartoon , Original Cartoon, the Best Cartoon…”

THE CONDITIONS
a)The contest is open to all cartoonists all over the world.
b) The cartoonists are free to participate with already published works as long as these works have not previously been awarded in any other contest.
c) Choice of subject is free.
d) The participants may send only one work.
e) The dimensions of works should not exceed 30 x 40 cm and only originals are accepted.
f) Name, surname, address, phone number and country of origin of the participant should be written on the back of his/her work. And also a short CV of the participant should be attached.
g) The works must reach the organizing association not later than July 31,  2008.
h) The results will be announced on  August 11,  2008. i) The participating cartoons will be kept at the Cartoon and Humour Museum of Istanbul by the Association of Cartoonists.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   j) The participating cartoons will be put into an album. The cartoons for the album and the exhibition will be selected by a jury. The album will be sent to the cartoonists whose pieces of work are exhibited and published in the album.
k) The participating works will be exhibited first in Ýstanbul, then the big cities of Turkey such as Ankara, Izmir, Adana and Antalya.
l) Participants are considered to have accepted all the conditions.

YARIÞMAYA KATILIM ÞARTLARI
1. Yarýþma bütün karikatür çizerlerine açýktýr.
2. Yarýþmaya gönderilen karikatürlerin çizim tekniði serbesttir. Renkli veya siyah beyaz olabilir.
3. Gönderilecek karikatürlerin boyutlarý A3’ü aþmamalýdýr. Adet sýnýrlamasý yoktur.
4. Bütün eserler için daha önce yayýnlanmamýþ ve ödül almamýþ olanlar yarýþmaya yollanmalýdýr.
5. Yarýþmacýlar karikatürlerin arkasýna adý, soyadý, adresini, telefon numaralarýný varsa e-mail’lerini
yazacaklardýr. Karikatürler sahipleri tarafýndan zedelenmeyi önleyecek, kýrýlmayacak, bir þekilde hafif kutu mukavva ambalaj veya hazýr zarfa konarak son gönderme tarihine kadar belirtilen adrese ulaþtýrýlmalýdýr. Postadaki gecikme yarýþmacýnýn sorumluluðundadýr.
6. Ýstanbul Büyükþehir Belediyesi Kütüphane Ve Müzeler Müdürlüðü’nce 3 ayrý yarýþmayý kapsayan albüm hazýrlanacak ve katýlýmcýlara iletilecektir. Albüme girecek yapýtlar seçici kurul tarafýndan saptanacak ve ödül töreni ile birlikte Karikatür Ve Mizah Müzesi’nde sergilenecektir.
7.Yarýþmada ödül kazanlardan Ýstanbul dýþýnda olanlarýn yapýlacak ödül törenine gelmeleri için yapýlacak yol harcamalarý ile Ýstanbul’daki giderleri kendilerine ait olacaktýr. Bu nedenle ödül kazandýðý halde ödül törenine gelmeyenler olursa, kazandýklarý ödül adreslerine gönderilecektir.
8. Gönderilecek karikatürler ÝBB Kütüphane Ve Müzeler Müdürlüðü’nün malý olarak muhafaza edilecektir.
9. Yarýþmaya katýlan yarýþmacýlar yukarýdaki tüm koþullarý kabul etmiþ sayýlýrlar.

3. DON QUICHOTTE INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST.. THEMA: “WORLD LANGUAGES”

In our world today 6800 languages are spoken in over 200 countries. Even in the countries having the same language exist dialects. Consequently each country adds its own social values to the language and makes it more colorful. On the other hand, in the latest 500 years about 750 languages are disappeared forever. According to the linguists, every 15 days a language is disappearing on the earth. One of the crucial reasons for this devastation is colonialism for sure.
There is a dialogue among languages as well. For example Latin lies at the root of many languages. In connecting people language plays an important role; while doing so it can build borders and remove them as well. Chinese is the most widespread language in the world. Second comes Spanish. English is the state language of 52 countries as you can surmise.
Even if we cannot imagine a positive religious dialogue we can talk about a worldwide linguistic dialogue which is much more attractive and active. The aim of our contest is to convey this rich variety through cartoons as much as possible. The most succesful cartoonists in reflecting the linguistic dialogue will be rewarded by the worldwide 15 jury of cartoonists whose members are also in the “Don Quichotte Cartoon Committee”.

THE RULES OF COMPETITION:
1) With participation in competition is possible only by Internet. (donquichotte@donquichotte.org)
2) The participating work may have been published neither with another competition presented nor on any way. With an offence, the deprivation of the achieved prices is the result.
3) The designs are to be drawn in A3-Size to deliver in 300 dpi dissolution and in JPEG format. They know both and black-and-white, and to be colored, the coloured representation is exactly the same as the colortechnical treatment of the work is incumbent on not a containment.                         
4) The sent in caricatures are issued first on the web pages of the “Don Quichotte”
under the column “Today”. Thus the work those is excluded the regulation to
contradict, promptly from the competition. Thus in the past the pretty often experienced unauthorized counterfeit, of a work is avoided.                                                                                                                                                    5) The closing date of the competition is 31 Juli 2008.                                                                    6) The jury, which consists from international well-known cartoonists, evaluates the forwarded art-works in September. Results of this evaluation and the award-winning art-works will be published on 1st Octobre 2008.                                                                   
7) The award of the prize will take place in the context of the opening of the   exhibition in Oktober in Esslingen (place and date of this meeting are
communicated  at a later time).

3. DON QUICHOTTE ULUSLARARASI KARIKATÜR YARISMASINDA KONU: „DÜNYA DILLERI“

“Don Quichotte” mizah dergisinin duzenledigi ucuncu uluslar arasi karikatur yarismasinin konusu “Dunya Dilleri” olarak belirlendi. Bugun dunyada yaklasIk 200’u askin ulkede 6800 dil konusulmakta. Ayni dili konusan ulkelerde bile diller, “lehce” olarak farkliliklar tasiyor. Dolayisiyla her ulke konustugu dili toplumsal degerlerine gore renklendiriyor, zenginlestiriyor. Buna karsin, son 500 yilda yaklasIk 750 dil, bir daha konusulmamak uzere yokolmus. Dilbilimcilere gore her 15 gunde, bir “dil” yok oluyor. Tabii dillerin yokolmasinin en onemli nedenlerinden birinin “somurgecilik” gercegi oldugunu hatirlatmakta yarar var.

Dillerin kendi aralarinda da bir diyalog soz konusu. Ornegin bircok dilin kokeni Latince’den olusuyor. Insanlarin iletisiminde oncelikli sirayi alan “dil”, sinirlar olusturdugu gibi sinirlari kaldirabiliyor da. Dunyada en cok konusulan dil Cince. Ikinci sirayi ise Ispanyolca aliyor. 52 ulkenin resmi dili de tahmin ettiginiz gibi Ingilizce.

Gunumuzde “dinlerarasi diyalog”tan pek olumlu soz edemesek te, “dillerarasi diyalog” sanki daha renkli ve hareketli. Yarismamizin amaci da bu renkliligi ve cesitliligi karikatur araciligiyla olabildigince yansitabilmek. Diller arasindaki diyalogu en iyi yansitan karikaturler, ayni zamanda coðu“Don Quichotte Karikatur Komisyonu” uyesi 15 dunya cizerinden olusan juri tarafindan odullendirilecekler.

YARISMA KOSULLARI:

1) Yarismaya sadece internet uzerinden katilabilinir. (donquichotte@donquichotte.org)

2) Yarismaya katilacak karikaturlerin daha once hicbir yarismada odul almamis olmasi ve yayinlanmamis olmasi gerekmektedir. Aksi takdirde odulun geri alinabilmesi soz konusu olabilecektir.

3) Karikaturler A3 boyutunda, 300 dpi ve jpeg formatinda olacaktir.

Siyah-beyaz veya renkli olabilir, her turlu boyama teknigi serbesttir.

4) Gelen karikaturler oncelikle (www.donquichotte.org) internet sitesinin “Bugun” bolumunde sergilenecektir. Boylelikle kopya karikaturlerin veya sartnameye uymayan karikaturlerin elenerek, son zamanlarda oldukca sIk yasanan odul krizlerinin onlenebilecegini dusunuyoruz.

5) Yarismaya son katilim tarihi 31 Temmuz 2008’dir.

6) Uluslararasi cizerlerden olusan secici kurul, gelen karikaturleri Eylul ayinda degerlendirecek, sonuclar ise 1 Ekim tarihinde aciklanacaktir.

International Contest of Graphical Humor – “Laughter is Health”

7th EURO-FRUITCARTOONALE 2007 – “Fruit and Olympic Games”

On the eve of the Olympic Games 2008 in Peking become from our Cartooncontest the topic: Haspengouws fruit and Olympic games 2008. We wonder ourselves in advance which positive influence can our Fruit from Haspengouw on this greatest sport event or could in the distant Peking, where the complete international sport world collects. Our jury expects, the Olympic idea keeping in mind that “takes part more important is than win” that our Haspengouws fruit in these disciplines will ensure lunatic interpretations and hilarity combinations. The jury expects with impatience your funny interpretations of the topic FRUIT & OLYMPIC GAMES before 27 February 2008.

1. PARTICIPATION

Everybody can participate at this Eurofruit-cartoontest. The participants agree with the regulations and the decisions of the jury. The jury has the right to refuse works for ethical reasons. No correspondence will take place concerning the results and the decisions of the jury.

2. THEME: FRUIT AND GAMES

All humoristic situations concerning things, actions, emotions, persons and events, with regards to the theme ‘Fruit from Haspengouw and the Olympic Games’ which are portrayed in a humorous and artistically responsible way, are qualified. Only original designs which include Fruit from Haspengouw (pears, apples, prunes, cherries, strawberries, berries, raspberries…) can win a prize. It is forbidden to send in works that have been awarded before, and works that are subjected to third-party rights.

3.CONTRIBUTIONS

Number of works: maximum 5 (without frame)
Dimensions: only A4 size (297×210 mm).
Please write on the back side of every cartoon in capital letters: Name, first name, address, telephone, fax, mobile number and e-mail address.

By participating, participants give the organisation the right to use, archive, print and duplicate the works and to let them participate at every initiative, commercially included, without any compensation to the author. The rewarded works remain the organizers property. Non-rewarded and nominated works, which are not collected within three months after the exhibition, also remain property of the organization. The organization is not responsible for damage or loss. The participants who wish to ensure their works, have to do this themselves. The organization takes no responsibility or initiative on this area.

9 An only prize will be granted, to the winning work, of 1,000 euros; the trip in Lleida for two people and, if therefore it express the winner, two nights of lodging in the city with data in determining by the organization to attend the collection of the prize that will give day 23 of May of 2008. It is recommended not to vary the data of the trip since the expenses that any change of the arranged data generates are in charge of the winner.

10 The decision of the jury will be unquestionable.

11 The composition of the Jury will occur to know after the proclamation of the person who gains the aid.

12 The decision of the Jury will be notified the winner between the first fifteen days of April of 2008 by electronic mail and will later publish to the Web of Humoralia http://www.humoralia.org/ and the Fecoll http://www.aplec.org/

13 The author of the winning work will have to give original in hand or by mail certified properly protected to the organization of the contest during the first fortnight of May. The direction of the Federation of Gangs of l’Aplec of the Caragol is: Obradors Street, 2. 25002 LLEIDA.

14 The first 50 selected works will be exposed to the seat of the Fecoll, and if it is placed diagonally in other enclosures.

15 The electronic version of works could be visited the virtual gallery that will be published after the vestibule of Humoralia and the Fecoll.

16 The organizers reserve the right to spread and to reproduce the winning work and the other 49 selected without express authorization of the author or author, and without that represents no obligation respect of the artist.

17 The participation in the aid supposes the complete acceptance and without reserve of these bases. Any doubt that can arise will solve the Jury integrated by two members of Humoralia, two of FECOLL and one in representation of the sponsor.
