COMPETITION FOR THE 8. INTERNATIONAL COMICS AND CARTOON FESTÝVAL "PRÝZREN 2012".

-The Kosovo Comic Book Artists Association "Xhennet Comics" is organizing the 8’th Internacional Festival of Comics and Cartoons.
– The Festival will be held from 8 until 11 September 2012 on the Gallery "Hamam" in Prizren KOSOVO.
-The Festival is not going to be competitive; however 20 foreign and 10 kosovar artists will be elected from the jury to have the expenses of travel and hotel accommodation covered for 3 days.
-All the participants of the festival will be delivered with The Catalogue, T-shirts with Festival logo, and The Certificate of Gratitude. Those absent will receive the catalogue via e-mail. PDF file or they can download from the official web site of the association .
-The Festival of Comics and Cartoons is held every year in Prizren, Republic of Kosova, organized from the Kosovo Comic Book Artists Association "Xhennet Comics".
-The festival is open for every artist, professional or amateur,from all around the world.

Participating Conditions:
1. The genre and topic are free, whether for Comics or Cartoons.
2. The Works may be done from one or more artists.
3. The works can be posted to us or thay can send throught e maýl whých has to have a good scan at least 300 dpý. The Participant can send his/her work through e-mail-a good scan with minimum 300 dpi.
4. Comics and Cartoons should be from 1 to 6 pages (A3 or A4 format)
5. The language of texts is free to all of the world’s languages (preferable in English).
6. Required details to be sent with the works are: Name, Surname, A short biography, Country, Address, E-mail, and A Photo. ( Attentýon wýthout of these ýnfornatýons the works wýll not be taken to consýderatýon ).
7. The Deadline is 10 August 2012.

Regulations International Cartoon Festival Knokke-Heist 2013, Belgium

DEADLINE: 15.01.2013

1. PARTICIPATION
All persons 18 years of age and older are eligible to participate in this international contest. Participants declare to agree to the terms and conditions of the regulations, and the decisions of the juries. Belgian law governing withholding tax on prizes won by foreign participants applies. Participation is free of charge.

2. DEFINITION
A cartoon is a humorous drawing. This includes a caricature of a famous person, a parody of a real situation or simply an image of a funny situation. The cartoon can consist of one image or take the form of a short comic strip. The cartoon can be static (drawn) or moving (animated using a computer).

4. SUBMISSIONS
a. Drawn cartoons: maximum 5 submissions. What? black/white or colour. The cartoons may not contain text. Drawings may also be made digitally and submitted on CD-ROM.
They may not have been exhibited in Belgium or awarded in other countries. They must be packaged flat and not folded.
How? Dimensions (min. 21 x 30 cm) or (max. 30 x 42 cm). If submissions are sent on a CD-ROM, the cartoon must be no larger than A4 format, in TIFF format with a resolution of 300 DPI. Works under glass, framed or other materials are unacceptable.

b. Animated, moving cartoons: maximum 3 animated cartoons, with a maximum length of 3 minutes per animated cartoon.
How? These animations must be sent on a DVD (PAL format). We can accept no submissions via URL (YouTube, MySpace, Google Video or Quicktime uploads), No demo versions, but the complete cartoon must be submitted. The works must be in Dutch or English, or subtitled in one of these languages.
c. The sender remains responsible for the originality of his or her work. Discussions and possible claims concerning all forms of plagiarism and the like are for the expense of the sender.

5. REGISTRATION FORM
Participation is valid only if your date of birth has been filled in and the form has been signed. The back of each cartoon must indicate: last name, first name.
Submission is at the expense of the participants.

6. OWNERSHIP RIGHTS
By participating, participants grant the organising body the right to use their submissions as advertising for the "International Cartoon Festival" and the seaside resort Knokke-Heist, (e.g. as cartoon book, catalogue, advertising in the press and other media, separate promotional printed works such as posters, leaflets etc., promotional gifts by the city council and/or photo festival organisation, calendar).

7. JURY
An international jury will make a selection from the entries for the exhibition, and will select the prize winners.

8. VISITING THE EXHIBITION
All participants may visit the exhibition free of charge upon presentation of their proof of participation.

9. OWNERSHIP BY ORGANISING BODY
All submitted works become the property of the organising body.

10. CARTOON BOOK
In collaboration with "Davidsfonds" Leuven, a cartoon book will be published, subject to budgetary and technical constraints. Selected participants will be entitled to one copy.

VIII HUMOR HALL OF LIMEIRAL IMEIRA-SP/ BRASIL

REGULATION
The VIII Hall of Humor in Limeira, designed and promoted by the fanzine O PIU, open registrations for all artists around the world, which draw a free hand, with entries until SEPTEMBER 12 of 2012.
Participants can sign up with how many original works they like, of its proper authorship, UNKNOWN AND ORIGINALS, in the minimum size of A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm) and up to A3 (42 X 29.7 cm). The back of each work must be identified with the category and full name.

REGISTRATION
Entries are free.

Especially on this year we’ll be accepting only digital works by the email jornal_opiu@hotmail.com as usual.
Registrations will be considered valid since they are held by the organizing committee until 12 of September 2012,

All submissions are considered to be acquisitions of paper O PIU. The possession, use and other rights in such work will belong to the paper O PIU, which reserves the right to use them at its will.
The simple inscription of the participant fully and automatic means the agreement with this Regulation.
