Rules of the Third Biennial of HUMOR "LUIS D’Oliveira Guimarães" – Penela 2012

1 – Theme: THE LETTERS AND JOURNALISM (caricatures of writers, journalists, thinkers, or drawings of humor over the letters, alphabets, reading the press, freedom of press, disagreements spelling …)
2 – Open to the participation of all graphic artists with humor, professional or amateur.
3 – Deadline: June 10, 2012 (must be sent to humorgrafe.oms @ gmail.com, or humorgrafe@hotmail.com humorgrafe_oms@yahoo.com – If you do not receive confirmation of receipt, forward new SFF)
4 – Each artist can send via email in digital format (300 dpis A4) up to 5 original works, black and white (one color – not accepted drawings 2, 3 or 4 colors), open to all techniques and styles as a caricature, cartoon, gag cartoon, strip, plank bd (story in a single board) … these should be accompanied with information of the name and address, e-mail, telephone and no taxpayer.
5 – Entries will be judged by a jury consisting of: a representative of the Municipality of Penela, a representative of the Parish of Spinal, a representative of the family Oliveira Guimarães, the Artistic Director of the Biennale, a representative of the sponsors, a representative local communication and the two guest artists, being awarded the following awards:
* 1st Prize BHLOG III-2012 (worth € 1,800)
* 2nd Prize BHLOG III-2012 (worth € 1,300)
* 3rd Prize of BHLOG III-2012 (worth € 800)
The jury may award up to five Special Awards honorific.
6 – The jury grants the right not to publish those works that do not meet the minimum quality required, making a selection of the best works to expose the available space.
7 – The organization shall inform all artists by email if you have been selected, and what the award-winning artists. The works awarded compensation, are automatically acquired by the organization. The originals of the winning entries must be delivered to the organization (the original work done on the computer is a high quality print on A4, hand signed and numbered 1/1), because without such delivery, the prize money will not be unlocked.
8 – Catalog will be published as well as any cards that are sent to all selected artists.
9 – Reproduction rights are owned by the organization as soon as this organization is to promote, and occasionally discussed with the authors, for other uses.

11 – The Third Biennial of Humor Luis d’Oliveira Guimarães – Penela 2012, will be held 1-30 September in the Library of Penela, extending to Lisbon in October (Faculty of Letters of Lisbon) in November and the School Social Communication of Coimbra.

INTERNATIONAL BEGGAR CARTOON CONTEST 2012 — CHINA

THE CONDITIONS

1、Theme：

A.CARTOON: BEGGAR ( VAGRANT \ FREE)
B.CARICATURE: FREE

2、The competition is open to professional and amateur cartoonists from all over the world.

3、Only original cartoons or internet print outs signed by the cartoonists will be accepted for the competition. Photographs, photocopies, etc… will not be accepted.

4、Each entrant should provide title, name, age, address, career, e-mail, and telephone number on reverse.

5、Entries can be either black and white or colour .

6、Size of cartoons should not exceed 100 x 150 cm .

14、The organizers reserve the right to publish the cartoons submitted to the festival and use them in any forms. Your cartoon may be used for promotional purposes : cards, posters, catalogs, newspapers, magazine, and books etc.

2nd INTERNATIONAL TURHAN SELÇUK CARICATURE CONTEST
SUBJECT : FREE

CONDITIONS :
1- The contest is open to all cartoonists.
2- The caricatures may be published before the contest. But they shouldn’t be rewarded at another contest.
3- The technique is free. Cartoonists can join the contest with maximum of 3 caricatures. But the arts must be original. Digital prints will be accepted only if they are signed by the artist with wet signature.
4- The maximum size for caricatures which will be sent must be 30×40 cm.
5- The contestants must write their name, surname, address, e-mail , country, and their telephone numbers with the big letters to the back of the cartoon. The contestants must put their personal history into the envelope.
6- The caricatures must be sent to the following address until July 13th 2012.

7- The result of the contest will be explained on the date of August 08th 2012.
8- The caricatures that are sent to the contest will not be posted back. The caricatures which are in degree or non degree can be published with purpose of culture. The contestants who join the contests are acknowleding these conditions. The caricatures will be kept in Turhan Selçuk Caricature House.
9- The contest album will be sent to the holders of the caricatures which will be selected by the Jury .
10- The award ceremony will be on the date of August 31st 2012. The gallery opening of the caricatures which will be exhibit and the caricatures which carried off will be in Turhan Selçuk Caricature House. The gallery will be open until September 15th 2012.
11- The accommodation expenses of the winners will be paid . But transportation expenses belong to them .

KOSULLAR:
1- Yarisma tum cizerlere aciktir.
2- Yarismaya gonderilen karikaturler daha once yayinlanmis olabilir. Ancak baska bir yarismada odul almamis olmalidir.
3- Teknik serbesttir. Cizer yarismaya en fazla 3 karikaturle katilabilir. Ancak eserler orijinal olmalidir. Sanatci tarafindan (islak imza) imzalanmasi kosulu ile dijital baski urunler kabul edilir.
4- Gonderilecek karikaturlerin boyutu en fazla 30×40 cm. olmalidir.
5- Katilimcilar, eserinin arkasina buyuk harflerle adini, soyadini, adresini, e-postasini, ulkesini ve telefon numarasini yazmali; kisa bir ozgecmisini zarfin icine koymalidir.
6- Karikaturler, 13 Temmuz 2012 tarihine kadar asagidaki adrese gonderilmis olmalidir.

7- Yarisma sonuclari 08 Agustos 2012 tarihinde aciklanacaktir.
8- Yarismaya gonderilen karikaturler geri gonderilmeyecektir. Dereceye giren veya girmeyen karikaturler kulturel amacli kullanilabilir, yayinlanabilirler. Yarismaya katilanlar bu sartlari kabul etmis sayilirlar. Eserler Turhan Selcuk Karikaturlu Ev’de saklanacaktir.
9- Juri tarafindan secilecek olan, sergilenecek ve albumde yer alacak eser sahiplerine yarisma albumu gonderilecektir.
10- Odul toreni 31 Agustos 2012 tarihinde yapilacaktir. Ayni tarihte sergilenmeye deger gorulen ve odul alan karikaturlerin sergi acilisi Turhan Selcuk Karikaturlu Ev’de gerceklestirilecektir. Sergi 15 Eylul’e kadar acik kalacaktir.
11- Odul kazananlarin konaklama masraflari karsilanacaktir. Ancak yol masraflari kendilerine aittir.
