‘ Even if artists live in different places or in different times, it is possible to face cartoons look like very similar each others, even sometimes they can be exactly the same. Accusing a cartoonist by assuming that he/she see the others works or steal from each others suggests a strong need to prove the allocations. The most reliable clue of course is to look at the date the cartoons published, but this is not enough really, the cartoonist of the second cartoon of two similar cartoons could draw his work without seeing the first cartoon. At this point we can focus either on lack of professional courtesy and the artists’ ability to observe what goes around in cartoon world OR we can talk about being detectives who are curious. Free choices are ours.

Let me give two examples which may effect to think solutions and may help to make decisions:

It  could be considered natural if one or two works of a cartoonist who did 500 cartoons in one year is/are similar for another cartoonists work, but how we will categorize  a cartoonist who only produces five cartoons yearly just for to send to the contests and his three works of five looks like the same of the other cartoonists’ works.

As we say in Turkey, to think is sometimes most suitable than to discuss.

Çizim Dünyasý

“Ayrý ayrý yerlerde, ayný zamanda yada farklý zamanlarda, birbirine benzeyen,

hatta ayný olan çizimler yapýlmýþ olabiliyor.
Çizenlerin birbirlerini görerek yada birbirlerinden çalarak yapýldýðýný iddia etmek,

 kanýtlamayý da gerektirir. En geçerli kanýt, tabii ki öncelikli yayýn tarihi gibi görünüyor.

Ama bu yeterli deðil, ikinci çizimin sahibi gerçekten de diðerini görmemiþ olabilir.
Burada mesleki dikkatin, olan biteni izleme duyarlýðýnýn öneminden de,

veya meraklý hafiyeliklerden de söz etmek mümkün, seçim serbest.

Çözümlemeye ve karar vermeye yararý olabilir düþüncesiyle iki örnek vermem gerekirse…

Söyle ki;

Bir yýlda beþyüz çizimi yayýmlanan bir çizerin, iþlerinden bir iki tanesinin

böyle bir benzerlikle karþýlaþmasý doðal sayýlabilir. Ama..
Yine bir yýlda beþ çizimi beþ yarýþmaya yollanan bir çizerin, iþlerinden üç tanesinin

baþkasý ile ayný olmasý acaba nasýl karþýlanabilir?.

Bazen düþünmek, tartýþmaktan evladýr.
