PRESENTATION…
The congress will be held on July, 7 – 11th 2008, at the University of Alcalá, in Alcalá de Henares. We invite all the humour areas investigators, experts, studious and professionals to participate.
The International Society Humour Studies (ISHS) is a studious and professional organization dedicated to the study of the humour. Many of its members are University professors and investigators of different areas as Biomedical Sciencies, Linguistics, Psychosocial Sciences, Cultural Studies, Communication, Translation, Educational Sciences… Many professionals of different areas also participate in the Society. That is the reason why the ISHS is a group that has a lot of disciplines and facets, united by the humour in all its multiple dimensions.
Alcalá de Henares is also the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote de La Mancha, one of the most important world wide comedies. The city is located a few kilometres northeast of Madrid. It was founded during the Romans era, and was given the name of Complutum. Its existence is related to its University which was founded in 1499 by Cardinal Cisneros. The 500 anniversary commemoration of the first promotion will be celebrated on 2008. Alcalá was declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1998.
MIZAH YAZARLARI CERVANTES’IN KENTINDE…
Ýspanya’nýn baþkenti Madrid’in hemen kuzeydoðusunda Cervantes’in doðduðu kent Alcala de Henares’de toplanan ”Dünya Mizah Derneði (International Society for Humor Studies)”, dört günlük toplantýda ”gülme”nin insan saðlýðýna yararlarýný ele aldý.
Yunanca “gelos: gülme”den gelen “gelotophobia: geliofobi” konusun iþleyen ruhbilimciler, toplumbilimciler, dilbilimciler ve diðer akademisyenler toplantýda, “insanýn gülme konusu olmaktan korkmasýný” da deðerlendirdiler.
ABD’nin California eyaleti Oakland kentinde kurulu “Dünya Mizah Derneði” elemanlarý, cezaevlerinde de mizahtan çok iyi sonuç alýndýðýnda birleþti.
Demir Perde Mizahý
Derneðin Ýngiliz baþkaný Christie Davies, tarihte “despot demir perde rejimlerinde mizah sanatýnýn daha iyi geliþmiþ olduðunu” anlattý.
Toplantýda Zürih Üniversitesi’ nden psikolog Dr. Willibald Ruch, “gülme ve gülünme korkusu geliofobi, son 10 yýldýr ruhbilimine yerleþmiþ bir kavram” dedi.
Dernek Baþkaný Davies, “kara mizaha örnek olarak ABD Baþkanýný gösterdi ve “Amerikan Baþkaný George Walker Bush, kendisi hakkýnda þaka yapabilen ve baþkalarýný güldürebilen kiþi” olduðunu söyledi.
Babasý Ýspanya’yý dolaþan “seyyar cerrah” olan ve 23 Nisan 1616’da ölen Cervantes’in “soyu tükenmiþ þövalye” Don Kiþot’u, dünya mizah tarihine ýþýk tutan mizahýn mýzraðý eserlerden oldu.
