INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST BRAILA 2010

REGULATION
The contest is open to all cartoonists.
Theme: CRISIS
Maximum number of works: 5
The works sent must be original, overleaf there will be mentioned the author’s data (the postal address, telephone number, e-mail ). Each cartoonist is expected to send also a short biography and a photo.
Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm) – A3 (297 x 420 mm)
Technique: free
Deadline of sending the works: August 20th, 2010

Prizes:
Great Prize -1500 €;
First Prize – 1000 €;
Second Prize – 800 €;
Third Prize – 500 €;
3 Special Prizes – 3 x 300 € (each)

The catalogue will contain a selection of the most valuable works registered in the contest.

The cartoonists who will find their works in the catalogue will receive a free copy.

The varnishing of the exhibition and prize awarding: September 18th, 2010.

The works won’t be returned, they will be included in the County Center

for Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture’s patrimony.

Regulations
Italian Land

We aim at all the artists, at their poetic, ironic, irriverent, bright, satiric ferocity for picking the thoughts and emotions related to the land of Italy and for representing them in terms of their art and their land.

1. Authors may submit an unlimited number of works, Studio d’Arte Andromeda reserving the right to expose those which, in its sole discretion, considers most adherent to the theme.
2. Works must be the originals, can be realized with any technique and must adhere strictly to the theme.
3. Maximum size allowed: A3

5. The date of inauguration will be notified in time to all partipants.
6. The works will be returned on demand.
7. The Organization Committee will keep the prize-winner and signal works.
8. The Studio reserves the right to print a catalogue with the most significant works and the right to use the same access of information, news and documentats about the exhibition. The catalogue will be delivered during the opening or sent on request with the works.
9. The Studio d’Arte Andromeda don’t answer of possible damaged or missing works, but maximum care of the delivered works is assured.
10. The contest has the following prizes:
– 1st Prize: €uro 1.000
– 2nd Prize: €uro 700
– 3rd Prize: €uro 500
– Visitors Prize: €uro 300

REGULATIONS:

1- Maximum number of works allowed to send is 5 for each category.
2- Size of the works shouldn’t exceed A3.
3- Works are accepted only by post.
4- Artist’s information should be written on the reverse side of each work in English; such as Name, Address, Telephone number, Nationality and Email.
5- There WON’T be an online gallery of received cartoons in www.tabrizcartoons.com because we think this would stop any possible plagiarism.
6- There will be an exhibition of selected cartoons in 2 different galleries.

Either your work is selected for the catalogue or not, every participant will receive a free copy of the catalogue of the contest.

Timetable:
Deadline: August 06, 2010
Jury meeting: September 13, 2010
Results will be announced on TabrizCartoons simultaneously on the award-winning ceremony with the presence of jurors and winners on September 15, 2010.

Prizes:
First Winner: 1000 Euro + Tabriz Cartoon Association Golden Trophy
Second Winner: 500 Euro + Tabriz Cartoon Association Silver Trophy
Third Winner: 250 Euro + Tabriz Cartoon Association Bronze Trophy
10 Tabriz Cartoon Association Copper Trophies + Honor Mention
Section "Free" won’t have any monetary prize but special gifts.
